Murchison Falls Big Five Safari
Uganda's largest park, where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge

What to Expect
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest, built around the point where the Nile forces itself through a gorge barely seven metres wide before plunging into the basin below. The park's savannah and woodland are home to elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, and — on the northern bank — some of Uganda's healthiest Big Five populations. A boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the falls is one of the best wildlife-viewing vantage points in the country, and the hike to the top of the falls themselves is worth the detour on its own.
